Massimo Marcer was born on March 3rd, 1972 in Legnano.

His training is classical, he has collaborated with several orchestras, performing a classical repertoire as well as chamber and comtemporary music. After a brief experience with jazz, he has dedicated himself principally to ethnic music, especially Klezmer and Balcanic repertoires.

In 1997, he is one of the founders of the group Tri Muzike, an ensemble specializing in Balcanic music. Among others, he has collaborated with: Sentieri Selvaggi, Vladimir Denissenkov, Daniele Sepe, Peter Stein, Zoe's Art Ensemle.

Since 1995, he has been, first, a member of Moni Ovadia's TheaterOrchestra, and later, of the Moni Ovadia StageOrchestra.
