Luca Bonvini

Having been awarded his Diploma in trombone by the Conservatorio di Musica G.Verdi of Milan in 1978, he then specializes in Renaissance and Pre-Renaissance music by following seminars and courses at the Centre de Musique Ancienne in Geneva under the supervision of Gabriel Garrido e Arianne Maurette.

He joins the group Las Glosas, directed by his teachers, and with them records an album of the repertoire pertaining to the Cancioniero della Colombina.

At the same time, he collaborates with ensembles directed by Lorenzo Alpert, Lorenzo Girodo - Ensemble del Riccio with whome he records an album - Sergio Vartolo and important vocal and instrumental groups such as Les Arts Florissants of Paris and Les Saqueboutiers of Toulouse. After having followed several seminars at the Conservatory of The Hague under the supervision of trombonist Charles Toet, he begins collaborations with guided by Bruce Dickey, Jean Tuberi and Edward Tarr in projects which aim to re-construct great events of the Renaissance.

He has collaborated with ensembles directed by Ottavio Dantone and Livio Picotti and recently he has recorded with the ensemble Mala Punica, directed by Pedro Memelsdorff, playing a period trombone.
