Binario 21 (2009) - (Platform 21)
From Yitzhak Katzenelson's poem "The Song of the Murdered Jewish People".
The book - Binario 21 (Platform 21) With the power of poetry, song and direct testimony, Moni Ovadia starts from Auschwitz, the place and symbol par excellence from which to begin remembering. Here, two destinies cross paths: that of thirteen year old Liliana Segre, deported from Platform 21of the Central Station in Milan, and that of Russian poet Yitzhak Katzenelson, a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto's desperation. Both Liliana and Yitzhak, each in their own way, are survivors: Liliana as a militant testimonial witness of the Shoah; Yitzhak by bequeathing an extraordinary poetic document of the Holocaust to us.
The dvd Felice Cappa's direction re-evokes, through Moni Ovadia interpretation, Katzenelson's poem and Liliana Segre's testimony, the memory of the extermination of the Jewish people and of all those who were subjected to deportation, one of our history's most tragic moments.
Also with Promo Music Books, he has published the book "Anna Politkovskaja" together with the DVD "Il sangue e la neve", his film presented successfully at the 66th Venice Film Festival.
